Call for Papers

Having reached its 22nd edition, the international conference seeks to provide a scholarly platform for reflection and debate on issues pertaining to language, culture, and translation in the 21st century. It examines the outcomes of the contact between languages and cultures, characterised, on the one hand, by multilingualism and globalisation, and, on the other, by a pronounced tendency toward repositioning, identity formation, and individualisation. The conference further addresses the development of diverse notions and terminologies—both discipline-specific and shared—as well as the relationship between language and varying cultural paradigms. Of particular interest are the internal (linguistic, didactic) and external (communicational, social, technical) causalities, alongside the evaluation of linguistic, cultural, and translation-related phenomena, with an emphasis on areas of convergence.
